Breakfast
A new morning at Lake Eibsee. From 7:30 to 11:00 a.m., start your day with a generous breakfast – featuring fresh baked goods, regional specialities, fruits, a muesli and cereal selection, smoothie bowls, and egg dishes from the show kitchen.

A sweet and savoury afternoon
After a morning by the lake or in the mountains, a little treat awaits you.

At the snack buffet, you will find warm soups, crisp salads, fresh bread, small savoury dishes and slices of sweet cake. Sometimes light, sometimes a real feast.

A moment to yourself every evening
Whether a curated set menu, or an elegant buffet, live cooking experiences, or attentive table service — each evening brings a new culinary highlight. Special themed evenings combine regional inspiration with creative flair. Premium ingredients, carefully selected and thoughtfully prepared.

Wellness

seeSPA:
Time by the Lake.
Warmth and Water.
At the seeSPA, you can swim in the 54 m² indoor pool. It is 1.35 m deep and pleasantly warm. Through the large windows, you enjoy a direct view of Lake Eibsee and the Wetterstein massif.
From 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., the pool is reserved for our little water lovers. During these children’s swim times, they can splash around to their heart’s content.

Saunas and relaxation
Two saunas help you to unwind: the Swiss stone pine sauna at around 65 °C, with its delicate scent, and the Kelo lakeside sauna at around 95 °C,offering panoramic views of the lake through its large window.
A steam bath with gentle heat and two infrared cabins provide moments of deep relaxation.
After your sauna session, the crisp mountain air awaits you at 1,000 metres above sea level. Just a few steps lead you to the water - a refreshing foot bath in Lake Eibsee, a dip in its cool, crystal-clear waters in summer, or soft snow beneath your feet in winter. This is what it feels like to truly breathe deeply.

Sun loungers with lake views
In the Panorama Boat House next to the lakeside sauna, you can enjoy peace and quiet in a sun lounger or a hanging chair, always with lake views.
Outside, you will find further places to unwind - on the sun deck in front of the jetty, in the rock garden by the hotel beach, and in the Birkenhof lakeside garden with views of the Untersee.

Eibsee Beach and active pursuits
Exclusively for hotel guests, Eibsee Beach lies at your feet.
Here, loungers in the shade of the trees alternate with active pursuits. During the summer months, kayaks, canoes and SUPs are available for your time on the water.
At the beach hut and the Sundowner Bar on the sun deck, you can enjoy a drink or a popsicle – with the lake always as your backdrop.

Massages and treatments
If you would like to unwind even further, indulge in a relaxing treatment.
Classic massages with warm oils, hot stone treatments, or targeted techniques to release tension - our team helps your body to ease muscle tightness and resdiscover a new sense of lightness.

For anyone who wants to feel their strength on land, the eibseeGYM is ready for you.
With views of the surrounding nature, you can train your endurance and strength – before heading back to the lake.

Hotel & arrival

Exclusivity: For the comfort of our guests, the entire Eibsee Hotel grounds are reserved exclusively for hotel guests.

Getting here: Travel to us conveniently by car, train, bus, or plane. Arrival information.

Reception: Our front desk is staffed 24/7.

Check-in: On the day of arrival, your room will be available from 3:00 p.m. You are welcome to check-in at the Reception from 1:30 p.m. If your room is already available at this time, you may of course access it earlier. The Luxury All In services are available from 1:30 p.m. on the day of arrival.

Check-out: We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 11:00 a.m. You are welcome to enjoy the Luxury All In services until 11:00 a.m. You may continue to use our seeSPA free of charge until 1:00 p.m. on your day of departure.

If you wish to extend your stay on your day of departure, please arrange this with Reception. For a day charge of €85.00 (including afternoon snack), you may stay at the hotel and continue to use the facilities until 6:00 p.m. (Late check-out is subject to availability).

Arrival & parking: Access to the Eibsee Hotel is reserved exclusively for hotel guests, ensuring peace and privacy directly at the lake.

To arrive, please drive up to the entrance gate. On the left-hand side, you will find a pillar with an intercom system. A short press of the call button is sufficient – our Reception team will then open the gate for you.

During your stay, the gate can be opened in two ways: either via automatic license plate recognition, if your vehicle’s license plate has been registered during booking or check-in, or by using your room key card, which can simply be held up to the reader at the entrance pillar.

When exiting by car, the gate opens automatically via a laser sensor. No further action is required.

EV charging: Four Type 2 charging points are available for electric vehicles. Payment is made conveniently by credit card directly at the charging point. The electricity is generated by our own hydropower plant and comes 100% from renewable energy sources.

Dress code: We kindly ask our guests to wear smart casual attire in all public areas such as restaurants, bars, terraces, and the lobby. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, we kindly request festive evening attire.
Smoke detector: All rooms are equipped with smoke detectors.

Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the entire hotel.

Smoking: The Eibsee Hotel is a non-smoking hotel; therefore, smoking is not permitted in any indoor areas.

Sustainability: The electricity – for example for our EV charging stations – is generated by our own hydropower plant.

Celebrations: We are happy to assist you in planning weddings, family celebrations, and corporate events. Further information on events here.

Activities

Location: Right on the Eibsee. The Zugspitzbahn cable cars are within walking distance of the hotel. The timetables and tickets are available at our reception. 200 m to the Zugspitze cable car, 250 m to the cog railway. More about the location

Outlets & chargers: A selection of international plug adapters and charging devices is available to borrow from Reception.

Blankets & pillows: Please inform our Reception team if you require additional blankets or pillows.

Our pillow menu offers the following selection of specialty pillows for a small cleaning fee: neck support pillows, neck rolls, spelt pillows, and cherry stone pillows.

In addition, we offer pillows from the Austrian company „Himmel Grün Natur“ for a cleaning fee, such as:
• Relaxation pillow – filled with soft millet husks and selected wild herbs such as hops, lemon balm, lavender
• Rose-scented pillows – filled with soft millet husks and fragrant rose petals, providing relief from headaches and migraines
• Spelt & mountain hay pillow – filled with wild mountain hay from over 1.000m in the Bregrenzerwald region
• Swiss stone pillow pine & spelt pillow – designed to reduce heart rate and to support restful sleep

Sewing service: We are happy to assist with minor sewing repairs. For major repairs, garments can be taken to a tailor in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Please note that this service may take several days. You will also find a sewing kit available in your room wardrobe for minor repairs.

Laundry service: Please hand in garments for washing and/or ironing at Reception by 9:00 a.m. for same-day return. Items for ironing only will be returned within one hour.

Dry cleaning is available through an external partner and returned to your room within 24 hours. An additional handling fee of €30.00 applies. Please note that this service is not available on weekends or public holidays.

Shoe polishing: Our shoe polishing machines are located in front of the elevators on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors. A shoe polishing glove can be found in your wardrobe.

Information about your booking

Rates: We are happy to send you a non-binding offer by Email.

We are working with a flexible pricing system. Rates vary depending on the travel period, demand, and occupancy. Early bookers therefore benefit from our best price guarantee, while last-minute bookings may be subject to higher rates.

"From" rates refer to the lowest available booking period and provide a clear overview of starting prices per category.

Hotel brochure: We are happy to send you our brochure by post – simply provide us with your postal address.

City tax: The local visitor’s tax is charged separately. In Grainau, a fee of €3.50 per person (aged 16 years and above) per night applies. Arrival and departure days are counted as one day. Children aged 6 -15.9 years pay €1.50 per night.

As part of the visitor’s tax in Grainau, you will receive the Grainau Guest Card.

Holidays with dogs: Dogs are welcome on request and subject to written confirmation, and are only permitted in selected rooms on the mezzanine floor. Availability is limited – other pets are not allowed. Only one dog per room is permitted.

Dogs are not permitted in restaurants, bars, on terraces, in conference rooms, at the beach, or in the seeSPA. Thank you for your understanding.

Keeping your dog on a leash within the hotel grounds, the adjacent areas, and the surrounding region is surely no problem for you and will be highly appreciated by other guests.

To ensure daily room cleaning, please inform Reception if you plan to leave your room later than usual. For safety reasons, our staff will not enter your room if your dog is left unattended.

A charge of €20.00 per dog per day applies. In addition, a final cleaning fee of €75.00 will be charged.

Cancellation policy: Cancellation fees vary depending on the booked rate. Please refer to your offer or booking confirmation for the applicable conditions.

Travel cancellation insurance: We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance for your stay.
